The Foundation administers a land-retention grant; the Coalition leads the outreach, education, and technical assistance it funds. The first workshop, “Keeping It in the Family: Protecting Black Family Land and Preserving Legacy,” reached 37 attendees at Penn Center on August 22, 2026.

Who does what. The Foundation, the Coalition’s charitable 501(c)(3) sister organization, secures and administers the grant. The South Carolina Black Farmers Coalition leads the farmer-facing work.

You do not have to attend a workshop to get help. Complete the Landowner Intake Form and the project team will prepare a custom Landowner Resource Manual for your situation and follow up within 10 business days.
